Below Deck OG Eddie Lucas has accidentally revealed one of his deck crew is joining casting for Below Deck Australia!
Speaking on the Dear Reality…You’re Effed! podcast with Below Deck Mediterranean star, Hannah Ferrier, the first officer spilled that Colin Macy O’Toole is would be heading down under for the next iteration of the insanely popular series.
“I heard Colin is working on casting for Below Deck Australia!” Eddie revealed, before adding, “I’m not sure I’m allowed to say that, but whatever! Sue me!”
Hannah, who is also a staple of the series, agreed with Eddie.
“He is,” she said.
Eddie Lucas Is The Reason There Are Now Cameras In the Laundry Room!
Elsewhere in the episode, Eddie revealed that the reason we can see absolutely everything on the luxurious yacht is because of him!
“You changed Below Deck’s history forever because before you, there was no cameras in the laundry room,” Hannah told the reality star.
Fans of the show would remember that Eddie slept with crew member and third stew Rocky Dakota.
The tryst took place in the laundry room, however, cameras didn’t catch the action! Now, they are placed everywhere so as not to miss all the action!
What Do We Already Know About Below Deck Australia?
Dubbed Below Deck: Down Under, the spinoff has been spotted filming in and around Queensland’s Airlie Beach, according to several So Dramatic! sources.
While no names have been confirmed by the network, one diligent So Dramatic! spy sent through photo evidence of the cast partying at Notherlies in Airlie Beach.
As reported on episode 89 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the pics showed past yachties of the franchise Tumi Mhlongo, Benny Crawley, Magda Ziomek and Aesha Jean ordering drinks and doing shots at the bar!
When we speculated on our Instagram whether or not past cast-slash-crew would be returning to cruise the Whitsundays, stewardess Ashling Lorger from Below Deck season eight alluded to making an appearance when she commented under our post: “I’ll guess we’ll just have to wait and find out!”
It wouldn’t be surprising to see Ashling show her face in the new spinoff, especially since it’s filming close to her hometown of Noosa!
And while we don’t have confirmation on who the exact captain of the Airlie Beach charter is, we can confirm that it isn’t our beloved Captain Lee. Sad face emoji!
The charter guests and crew alike will party it up on a superyacht named “Thalassa” (which means “sea” in Greek) and already features The Bachelor’s Jimmy Trethewie as a guest.
