The Block 2021 has been rife with scandals, but we never would have guessed host Scott Cam would be at the centre of one!

During Sunday night’s episode, eagle-eyed viewers noticed that Scotty had a rather unfortunate wardrobe malfunction… his pants zipper was left undone!

“Ummm… tools down. Scotty needs to zip up,” one fan wrote on Twitter. Another was left wondering why The Block‘s editors didn’t notice the embarrassing incident.

Karl Stefanovic’s Reaction To Scott Cam’s Fashion Faux Pas

Today host Karl Stefanovic couldn’t keep his amusement over the incident to himself when Scott appeared on the breakfast show on Tuesday.

Karl called the 58-year-old Channel Nine mainstay a “bloody legend” as he and co-host Sylvia Jeffreys joked about the faux pas.

“You had a bit of a zipper issue the other night. Can you explain what happened?” Sylvia asked.

“My grandfather used to say to me when I was a young bloke, ‘Do you have a licence to sell hot dogs?’ And I said ‘No, why?’ He said, ‘Well, your stand’s open,’ The Block host recalled.

He then revealed he wasn’t aware his pants were undone until ten minutes into filming the segment!

“My cameraman and executive producer came up to me… and he said ‘You fly’s down’.” Still, Scott could see the humour in the incident and explained he didn’t reshoot the scene cause “someone will get a laugh out of that”.

And we certainly did! Fingers crossed Scotty double checks his pants before he heads on set next time, hey!
