On the eve of her debut as Australia’s 2021 Bachelorette, Brooke Blurton has been spotted meeting up with and “kissing” her ex-boyfriend Nick Power.
On Monday afternoon, a Drama Army member saw Brooke and Nick together in Perth and even got the receipts to prove it! Pics or it didn’t happen, right?
“SPOTTED: BROOKE TALKING TO NICK!” the So Dramatic! spy wrote in our DMs alongside the photos they had taken. “How crazy!”
Not only that, but the spy claimed that they saw Brooke kiss her old flame!
“She was talking to him on Kingspark Road in Perth,” they dished. “Then got into a hire car and drove off. They kissed on the cheek too!”
They added that Brooke and Nick were not even trying to be inconspicuous and were seen on the street in plain sight of the public.
What Else Did They See Brooke and Nick Doing?
When asked by So Dramatic! for more details about the lucky sighting, they told So Dramatic!:
“Basically, I walked to Donnie Taco (which is a cafe) to get lunch. They were still chatting. Got back to my building and they were still on the street, in plain view for about 15-20 minutes chatting.
“Then he stood in front of her I think she saw me looking (with a few other colleagues) then they wrapped up the conversation they both leant in for a kiss on the cheek.
“He went into his building and he called someone and crossed the road got into her hire car and drove off.
They added: “SHE WAS ON THE MAIN ROAD!” Like why would she do that in plain sight??? It was not as if she’d bumped into him. She parked across the road and went into his building. That’s no coincidence.”
Bachelor contestants are usually under strict contractual obligations not to be seen in public with anyone that could be considered a love interest. So given Nick is her ex-boyfriend, this is a very interesting and unusual sighting indeed!
It is possible that Brooke and Nick may have continued to have a close friendship since splitting in 2020. Which seems like the likely outcome given Brooke has said that she definitely chooses someone in her Bachelorette finale.
Has Brooke Found Love on The Bachelorette?
On Sunday, Brooke told Stellar that she does choose someone in The Bachelorette finale this season.
‘Oh, yes. Yeah, I have, absolutely. I’m really, really lucky, and I’m really excited about the show airing and about my relationship,’ the reality said.
‘I’m honestly counting down the days (until the show airs). I just want to be able to share with my family and friends about how happy I really am,’ she said.
Who is Brooke Blurton’s Ex Nick Power?
Brooke dated Nick after her appearances on The Bachelor with Nick Cummins in 2018 and her stint on Bachelor in Paradise in 2019.
In a gushing Instagram post Brooke revealed she had found love “with a beautiful beautiful man who I can not express how friggen lucky I am to have in my life.”
However, a year later, after a social media hiatus, Brooke announced the pair had sadly split in an emotional and teary video.
“If you haven’t noticed, I have been MIA on social media,” she said in February 2020. “I’ve been grieving a breakup and I just haven’t been able to build up the courage to speak about it online and openly just yet.
Brooke continued her lengthy video as her eyes welled up with tears.
“I’m trying to do this without crying. From the bottom of my absolutely broken and shattered heart, I just wanted to thank you guys for the messages,” Brooke said. “I think I’m going to log out of Instagram for today. I have some really exciting things coming, so I should probably look forward to those.
“I’ve tried to do this without crying but yeah, thanks guys. I’ll be back to my normal, positive self in time.”
Whilst she didn’t explain the exact reason behind their split, she also spoke to her fans about youth suicide preventation.
