Survivor Australia 2022 is coming — but not exactly in the way we originally told it was.

In episode 106 of the So Dramatic! with Megan Pustetto podcast, we reported that the next iteration would be a celebrity version with the theme, Blood vs Water. While the theme is correct, the celebrity part has now changed.

As reported in episode 108 of So Dramatic! the season was originally going to be a celebrity version and they even had famous Aussie faces already cast, however, ended up changing it at the eleventh hour!

Who Was Meant to go On the Celeb Version of the Show?

Last week, Megan Pustetto reported that MasterChef’s Khanh Ong and influencer Sophie Cachia were headed to camp. And who told Megan? Friends of Khanh’s personal trainer!

Khanh had been boasting about going on the show and that’s how the info got out!

“He’s been doing a lot of different special intense training sessions to prepare for the show,” a source revealed to So Dramatic!. “A lot of strength work and special skills stuff. I’m not sure which family member Khanh is taking with him but watch this space!” Ooh!

However, as it goes with the rumour mill, the information got a little mixed up and the celebrity reiteration of the season was scrapped at the eleventh hour.

“Khan told his trainer that he was going on the show and the trainer has told other people who told me,” Megan explained. “He was boasting about going on the show and that’s how the info got out.”

Who Else Was Heading to Camp?

Along with Khan and Sophie, actress Jodi Gordon had also been cast for the season.

Let’s hope they keep the same celebs for next year as it sounds like an interesting mix of people!
