The Masked Singer Australia 2021 is well underway and eager fans are fixated on one particular mystery performer: who is Lightning?

The superhero-esque star has stunned The Masked Singer Australia judges and fans alike with vocally impressive performances of Rihanna’s Diamonds and Brave by Sara Bareilles. However, when it comes to the famed singing competition, the clues are the best indicator as to who is under the mask!

What Are The Clues?

So far, Lightning’s clues have referenced the beach, a mouse, airwaves and One Direction, which leads us to believe that Lightning is… Alli Simpson!

The mouse and airwave clues appear to refer to the 23-year-old singer and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here 2021 star’s big break on Radio Disney, on which she hosted The Alli Simpson Show. What’s more, is that Alli interviewed the boy band One Direction at Radio Disney HQ in 2012!

As for the beach references, Alli and her brother Cody Simpson (who won The Masked Singer Australia‘s first season as Robot), were raised on Australia’s Gold Coast. The starlet is also currently based in California, which is known for its tourist beaches as well.

Plus, Sportsbet has Alli’s odds at being Lightning sitting at $26 and if we’re being honest… the betting agency never lies!

Who do The Judges Think Lightning is?

Despite the odds, The Masked Singer Australia judges have failed to single out Alli as a potential performer. Instead, their predictions for Lighting so far have been:

  • Sam Kerr
  • Em Rusciano
  • Molly Taylor
  • Bindi Irwin
  • Lucy Lawless
  • Alessia Cara
  • Bronte Campbell
  • Montaigne

What Do The Viewers Think?

Luckily fans of the show are a little bit more cluey, and have convincingly taken to Twitter to announce that the young Queenslander is hiding beneath the Lightning mask!

One fan of the show even went as far as to investigate Alli and host Osher Günsberg‘s heights to see if they match up with those we see on The Masked Singer Australia stage!

Who Has Already Been Revealed On The Masked Singer Australia 2021?

The Masked Singer Australia has already unmasked four celebrities after much deliberation, with Vinnie Jones being revealed as Volcano, Ben Lee as Professor and Lote Tuqiri as Piñata!

Celebrity chef George Calombaris was also revealed to be under the Duster mask in episode two. However viewers weren’t impressed with the casting choice considering George was fired from MasterChef in 2019 after majorly underpaying those who worked in his restaurants.

*SPOILER ALERT* Celebrities Who Haven’t Been Revealed Yet…

On episode 101 of So Dramatic! With Megan Pustetto, a source revealed several names who are pegged to appear on the hit singing competition’s third season, including comedian Em Rusciano and Mahalia Barnes, who is none other than Aussie legend Jimmy Barnes’ daughter!

“The confirmed pair’s (Em and Mahalia) voices have clearly been heard on set, so these two are locked in,” the Drama Army sleuth said of their “on set source” — “a friend that got drunk… and didn’t keep quiet, whoops” — whoops, indeed!  We are big believers in a drunken info spillage and this one does not disappoint!
