Look, we’re going to take this news with a grain of salt however we can’t go past sharing with you a juicy reality TV random casting. Set to appear on The Block: Fan vs Favourite’s on September 21 is singer Delta Goodrem.

And while she was only on for one ep, Delta was apparently so impressive that she may become a permanent fixture in the 2022 season. Huh?!

According to Yahoo, during The Block, Delta will “help the contestants prepare for the lip-syncing challenge” — which to us is such a WTAF moment because isn’t this a goddamn renovating show?

Apparently the Born to Try singer will help the cast lip sync for their legacy while also checking in on their renovations — and this makes more sense. We think?!

As for an official recurring role, during an interview with Woman’s Day, Delta admitted that she’s “always incredibly open to finding those awesome [roles], and the right stories to be a part of.”

If you ask us, this just adds fuel to the speculation that she could actually join the show full-time as a judge!

Firstly, does the 36-year-old even have any reno experience or is she a closet interior designer and we just don’t know it yet?

Secondly, she is contracted and has a partnership with Nine in “creating and producing entertainment projects”, so maybe this is just a way to remind Australia of her presenting skills?

Whatever it may be, apparently the cast had an absolute blast with the singer.

Block-head Kirsty told Woman’s Day : “It was great to have Delta on site, she is an incredibly talented performer.” But did she pick up a hammer, Kirsty?

What Other Changes Are Coming In 2022?

This is not the only change the 2022 season will see.

According to Domain, Nine’s production company MicJoy Pty Ltd has snapped up 79 acres in Macedon Ranges’, Gisborne.

The regional location will be a major departure from past seasons, which have seen homes given a new lease on life in several Inner Melbourne suburbs such as St Kilda, Brighton and Elsternwick.

So will Delta be joining the likes of Shelley Craft and Scott Cam in their new home among the gum trees? We’ll just have to wait and see…!
