By now you have heard that there’s a brand new TV series in the works focusing on Byron Bay and their f*ck off rich residents and spectacular homes.

Coming to Channel 9 in 2022, Buying Byron is the Aussie version of Netflix’s hit show Selling Sunset (Chrishell, we stan) and similar to Amazon Prime’s Luxe Listings Sydney.

According to the official press release, “everyone is trying to get a piece of the Byron Bay pie”… and by everyone, they mean A-List celebs with a whole lot of cash to burn.

Of course, the past few years has seen an influx of interest surrounding the coastal town “where Hollywood A-listers are living the dream and Instagram influencers are flocking to in droves.”

It’s also the reason we are being #blessed with Netflix series, Byron Baes starring The Bachelorette alum Nathan Favro and Love Island’s Elias Chigros.

If you’ve ever wondered what these million dollar properties look like — including inside the home of Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky’s ultra glam property — then this series will be exactly what you’re looking for.

Just like the property shows mentioned above, Buying Byron will take a look at the “highly focused real estate agents working to sell the sexiest real estate on earth”. And if they’re selling houses worth more than $1.2 million a piece and then some, we know that they are going to be cashed up themselves.

“Viewers will get a glimpse into Australia’s most prestigious playground, where the spectacular beaches and seaside glamour set the scene for all the action. There will be beachside deals, tussles for premier property listings, and feuds over negotiations as these agents work to secure a piece of paradise for their prestigious clients.” Count us in.

Other stars including Matt Damon, Jacob Elordi, Kaia Gerba and even unofficial Aussie Zac Efron, have also bought properties and while we don’t expect them to make cameo appearances, we do expect these types of celebs to be purchasing homes during the series.

For now, that’s all the information we have, but you bet we’re going to be keeping a close eye on any developments. Pun intended.

Buying Byron will be hitting Channel 9 in 2022.
