SAS Australia contestant and former Labor MP Emma Husar has been involved in more scandals than one would expect with the most notable being in 2018 — an incident that has been likened to the infamous Basic Instinct scene where Sharon Stone flashes her lady bits, sans underwear.

The scandal made national headlines when it was alleged that Emma sat opposite Labor frontbencher Jason Clare and repeatedly exposed herself to him.

In a letter obtained by BuzzFeed, which has since been taken offline, a Labor staff member alleged that they witnessed Emma deliberately spread her legs to reveal to Mr Clare that she wasn’t wearing any underwear.

The allegations were denied not only by Emma, but also by Jason Clare himself. Mr Clare referred to the claims as “categorically untrue.”

The scathing letter also claimed that Emma was abusive and had sexually harrassed male employees and would openly talk about her sex life while in office.

It was blow after blow for Emma as she was also under investigation for alleged bullying and misuse of public funds at the time. Emma claimed she was blackmailed out of her job in parliament.

Taking to Twitter, Emma said: “This smear is completely and utterly untrue, unfair and hurtful beyond belief. 100 per cent false.

These are absolute lies that have been fabricated by Jeremy Anderson, who’s working with his father to leak against me and ruin my reputation.”

The investigation came to an end in 2018 when Emma was cleared of the Sharon Stone incident and of allegations of sexual harassment after the claims were not supported.
