The Masked Singer Australia 2021 has served as some much-needed escapism amid another crazy year, with the ongoing mystery of which star is wowing audiences from beneath a whacky costume perhaps the most excitement we’re going to get while a lot of us are in lockdown.

Ever since Network Ten dropped a teaser trailer mid-August and revealed the first six creative (and cursed) Masked Singer characters, fans of the hit singing competition have been going crazy over who is donning the mega Baby costume, or who is repping the fish-Mullet.

But as we all know, nothing is confirmed until the judges are screaming “Take it off, take it off!”, so scroll on to see who has been found out and revealed to be underneath a mask on The Masked Singer Australia 2021.

*WINNER* VAMPIRE – Anastacia

This pop music legend is definitely one of the BIGGEST names to grace The Masked Singer Australia stage, and it’s no wonder she took out the win. For more details on Anastacia‘s winning reveal, you can head here.

DOLLY – Em Rusciano

This multitalented songstress had the judges confused all season with her clues, but it was Em Rusciano‘s stunning voice that landed her in second place in The Masked Singer Australia 2021. Over the weeks, the panellists guessed Lisa McCune, Meghan Trainor and Missy Higgins were under the Dolly mask, but only Dannii Minogue correctly predicted the comedian! Em’s strong stage presence prevailed during renditions of Adele’s Make You Feel My Love and Tones and I’s If I Can Fly, cementing her as one of the best performers the show has seen so far!

MULLET – Axle Whitehead

In a HECTIC finale, Mullet was revealed to be none other than former Video Hits host Axle Whitehead, who was sporting a mullet of his own! Despite making the final three, his rendition of Born To Be Wild just wasn’t enough to take out the win, leading to his unmasking. The judges had speculated over the past few episodes that the 40-year-old was under the mask, but fans were convinced it was tennis legend Pat Cash, Other guesses across the season included Kelly Slater, John Farnham and Samuel Johnson.

KEBAB – Jack Vidgen

Almost as satisfying as a post-clubbing 2am feed, Jack Vidgen was revealed to be underneath the Kebab mask just one episode ahead of The Masked Singer Australia finale! Fans and judges alike had speculated for weeks that the former Australia’s Got Talent winner was Kebab, yet only Jackie O predicted correctly when it came to the judges’ final guesses. Across season three, Jack performed hits such as Juice by Lizzo and Donna Summer’s Hot Stuff, with his famous voice reigning supreme over the other masked singers. Other guesses as to who was under the mask also included Connie Mitchell, John Travolta and Courtney Act.

BABY – Ella Hooper

Just like a real baby, we were all crying when Baby lost her head on The Masked Singer Australia! We were then screaming when we finally found out who it was! Killing Heidi front-woman and all-round bad ass Ella Hooper! Ella is an Australian rock music singer-songwriter and radio and TV personality and only Dannii Minogue guessed correctly! Other guesses included Tones and I, Lauren Conrad and Ruby Rose.

“Well, every year or two, I make sure I do something totally out of my wheelhouse and this is pretty out there,” Ella said after being unveiled. So cool!

LIGHTNING – Alli Simpson

Lightning never strikes the same place twice… except for The Masked Singer Australia! Alli Simpson was revealed to be Lightning on the hit show, following in the footsteps of her older brother Cody, who won the series in 2019. As the clues indicated, the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here 2020 star is a singer, model and actor who hosted her own show on Radio Disney way back when. Despite the judges guessing the starlet on previous seasons, none of them pegged her to be under the mask this time around. Instead, they guessed Tones and I, Angie Kent, Sally Pearson and Maddie Ziegler were under the mask after a powerhouse performance of Fight Song by Rachel Platten.

ATLANTIS – Macy Gray

Grammy award-winning RnB artist Macy Gray appeared from under the Atlantis mask and holy sh*t, The Masked Singer Australia actually pulled off a real celebrity for once! Macy is the distinctive voice behind the 1999 hit song I Try, but only judge Urzila Carlson guessed it was the music star under the mask — although she did change her prediction to Delta Goodrem just moments before the unveiling! Other guesses included Rihanna, Bonnie Tyler and Noni Hazlehurst after Macy gave an incredible performance of Ex’s and Oh’s by Ella King.

*SPECIAL GUEST PERFORMER* RUBBLE – Kyle Sandilands

In a big f*ck-off promo for Paramount+, The Masked Singer Australia 2021 became even wilder as radio host Kyle Sandilands was revealed as a special guest performer on Sunday night in the form of PAW Patrol character ‘Rubble’. The long-time KIIS FM host performed Drops of Jupiter by Train and from the first lick, The Masked Singer Australia judge and Kyle’s radio co-host Jackie O Henderson knew exactly what was up! Gogglebox Australia star Yvie Jones jumped online, alongside many viewers, to say that Jackie’s “face [said] it all” despite pretending to not know who the one-time performer was.

Still, no guesses bared Kyle’s name — instead Russell Crowe, Guy Pearce and Anthony LaPaglia were suspected of being under the mask! Safe to say we were all left shocked and confused! Hmmm, we wonder who will be unmasked next?!

PAVLOVA – Mahalia Barnes

We’d hate to say “I told you so”, but songstress Mahalia Barnes was unveiled on The Masked Singer Australia, and she came in the form of Pavlova! The former The Voice contestant is the daughter of music legend Jimmy Barnes, who she revealed was the only person who knew she would be appearing on the hit singing competition. The judges didn’t pick up on the mother-of-two’s dulcet tones, instead predicting that Naomi Watts, Gabriella Cilmi or Jojo Levesque was hiding under the mask after an impressive performance of Rise Up by Andra Day.

PIÑATA – Lote Tuqiri

Viewers of The Masked Singer Australia might not know Lote Tuqiri unless they’re sports buffs, but safe to say the judges were shocked when the Piñata mask came off after guesses such as Elon Musk, Sam Neill and Fifty Shades of Grey‘s Jamie Dornan led them astray. Lote represented Australia as part of the Wallabies Rugby Union team at the height of his career, as well as played for the national Fijian team in Rugby League. These days, the 41-year-old is the co-founder of his own content marketing agency, HooZu. Lote was the fourth celebrity to be unmasked following his performance of Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO.

PROFESSOR – Ben Lee

That’s (not) the way we like it… Aussie icon and singer-songwriter Ben Lee threw judges and viewers for a loop after he was revealed to be under the Professor mask on The Masked Singer Australia, making him the third celeb to be unmasked on the hit show this year. The multi-platinum performer is behind hits such as That’s The Way I Like It, We’re All In This Together and Catch My Disease, as well as writing for film soundtracks such as There’s Something About Mary and The Square. Ben performed Seal’s Kiss From a Rose during the third episode and boasted a unique voice that had judges anticipating that Simon Baker, The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers or former teen heartthrob Zac Hanson would be under the mask.

DUSTER – George Calombaris

Quite possibly the last person we expected to be Duster (though we still maintain it’s a toilet plunger), George Calombaris was the second celebrity to be unmasked on The Masked Singer Australia 2021. His shaky performance of Ray Charles’ classic Shake Your Tailfeather was no match for Duster’s opponents, nor the viewers, who were quick to jump online and express their distaste for the former MasterChef judge’s appearance on the show, who previously came under fire in 2019 due to the massive underpayment of workers at his restaurants. None of the judges predicted George to be under the mask either, with their guesses being Gordon Ramsay, Shane Warne and Michael Clarke.

VOLCANO – Vinnie Jones

English actor and former professional footballer Vinnie Jones was revealed to be under the Volcano mask, after the judges threw out guesses such as Sacha Baron Cohen and Christian Bale! The actor is known for roles in Snatch, Gone in 60 Seconds, X Men: The Last Stand and She’s The Man. Prior to acting, the gravelly-voiced star played as a defensive midfielder for various British football teams such as Chelsea and Leeds United. Despite an explosive performance of The Proclaimer’s I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) Volcano just couldn’t match the star power of Vampire, leading Vinnie to be the first booted from season three.
