Australian Survivor: Brains VS Brawn might have only just finished up, but could there already be another season of the famed reality show on the drawing board for 2021? Former Australian Survivor all-star Abbey Holmes seems to think so!

In an interview with So Dramatic! With Megan Pustetto Abbey revealed that the Aussie reality show might have a ‘Blood VS Water‘ season in the works, with filming beginning “very, very soon”!

“I think there might be a Blood VS Water coming up,” the AFLW player said, noting the success of that particular format overseas in which family members enter the Survivor competition together but compete against each other on separate tribes.

“It’s a good concept because eventually you have brothers and sisters having to turn on each other, or mothers and daughters having to turn on each other,” Abbey told So Dramatic!. “I think we might see that kind of theme pop up in Australia in the not too distant future.”

Abbey, who competed in Champions VS Contenders in 2019 and All Stars in 2020, said the traditional filming schedule takes place April through June, but given the success of filming back-to-back seasons in 2019, we say the chance of Australian Survivor tackling a second season this year could be likely!

The revelation came to light after Abbey confessed she’d love to compete on another season of Survivor, dubbing her experience on the show “the best thing I’ve ever done, hands down”, but might have to wait until the show “pump[s] out a few more [seasons]” before another All Stars iteration happens again.

In the tell-all interview on episode 100 of So Dramatic! With Megan Pustetto, Abbey spilled plenty of behind-the-scenes Survivor tea, including the fact that some contestants receive tip-offs from producers as to where advantages could be hidden!

“[Producers] lead them in the right direction, but [contestants] have to do all the heavy lifting themselves,” Abbey confessed.
