Shelley Craft has been a fixture of Australian television since the nineties, and these days, is most recognisable as the smiley and bubbly mainstay of The Block.

Shelley got her start in the industry through work experience at a Brisbane television studio and quickly worked her way from production assistant to presenting famed children’s show Saturday Disney in 1996, where she worked for six years.

She’s featured on shows such as The Great Outdoors, Australia’s Funniest Home Videos (this is an official plea to bring it back), Big Brother’s Saturday Showdown, Domestic Blitz and now, The Block.

Having called Nine Network home for many years, Shelley also married a cameraman from the network, Christian Sergiacomi (otherwise known as Serge) in 2009. The couple previously went to neighbouring private schools in Brisbane, before eventually working on The Great Outdoors together, and now share two beautiful daughters.

Since 2011, Shelley has served as a confidant and coach to countless Blockheads as they all try to navigate the extraordinary circumstances of competing on the series and even became a qualified real estate agent in 2020, which she says has helped her “find her place” on the renovation series.

“I’ve always loved real estate and loved design, but I wanted to find my own place too within the industry and within the show,” she told 9Now.

Promos for The Block 2021 revealed an explosive “cheating scandal” set to erupt during the season, with Shelley herself stepping in with host Scott Cam to help diffuse the situation.

“Yeah, but you were the cause of this,” Shelley is shown telling someone, while a contestant can be heard requesting to speak to a producer.

The Block is airing all the renovations (and dirty laundry) on Sunday nights at 7pm, as well as on Monday through Wednesday at 7:30 on Channel 9 and 9Now.
