You either loved them or you hated them when they first debuted on The Block in 2017, but Ronnie and Georgia Caceres couldn’t care less because they’re back and better than ever, ready to tackle this year’s ‘Fans VS Favourites’ competition.
Ronnie and Georgia are by no means remembered for being neighbourly competitors — fans of the renovation show will recall the almighty rift caused between them and Josh and Elyse when the Caceres opposed their plans to apply for a pool permit ahead of landscaping week (which isn’t allowed unless all teams simultaneously agree to it). The decision revealed to their fellow contestants and viewers alike that Ronnie and Georgia would go to extreme lengths to secure the series win.
Despite the seasoned renovators scoring five room reveal wins across their initial Block season the couple’s home was passed in and later settled off-screen, with rivals Josh and Elise taking out the title. The sale of Ronnie and Georgia’s property ultimately landed them third place that year and the Western Australians took home a $161K profit. Nice for some!!
It’s no secret that this pair are back with a vengeance and plan to bring their A-game to table (or cul-de-sac, rather) when they go head to head with 2019 Oslo contestants Mitch and Mark, as well as three new ‘fan’ teams.
“We will be a little bit smarter and a little bit wiser this season,” Georgia told Homes To Love. “I want to do a really good job, and returning as all-stars brings even more expectation and pressure.”
This year five houses have been acquired in the affluent inner-Melbourne suburb of Hampton in what is poised to be the most shocking-slash-stunning season of The Block yet!
