The chemistry between The Bachelor Australia 2021’s Jimmy Nicholson and Holly Kingston was undeniable from the moment the 27-year-old marketing manager stepped onto the red carpet and received the wifey music. Now that Jimmy has given Holly his final rose and a promise of a lifetime of love and adventure… are they still together?
While the Bachelor franchise has produced some long-lasting couples (Hi, Tim and Anna), we can’t ignore the fact that plenty couples don’t make it through the intense pressures and scrutiny that comes after the show, so it makes sense that we’re all sceptical about how the pilot’s relationship with Holly is faring.
As always, the happy couple both took to Instagram not long after the finale aired to confirm that yes, they are very much still together!
Jimmy shared a snap of him and his newfound love at the finale, penning a sweet message to Holly that read: “I cannot begin to describe how lucky I feel to have you in my life. You have been my absolute rock over the past few months and I could never have asked for a more perfect person to walk into my life.”
He also noted that her “infectious smile, cheeky banter, constant love and support” are the reasons he wants to be the “best version” of himself before signing off with, “I love you, Jimmy” [sic]. Ah, nothing screams ‘Aussie relo’ more than a bloke naming banter as one of his partner’s top qualities!
Similarly, Holly posted the same pic with her own wholesome caption, telling her audience of over 70,000 followers that she now believes in the saying “when you know… you know”, as well as shouting out mansion “bestie” Carlie Hodges and fellow bachelorettes Tahnee Leeson and Lily Price.
Despite all this, over here at So Dramatic! we know the three-month post-show contract and obligatory media circuit can be deceiving, which is why we weren’t surprised when a source reached out to tell us that there is trouble in paradise already for the seemingly picture perfect couple!
As discussed in episode 99 of So Dramatic! With Megan Pustetto, another source added: “If I am being honest, I give their relationship a year max.
“They’re both just in it for the fame, let’s be honest.” Ouch! Such little faith!
Holly quickly became a fan favourite following her debut on the hit dating show and was positioned as the winner by both Sportsbet and TAB, with runner-up Brooke Cleal correctly pegged to take out second place.
Holly and Jimmy are both Sydney locals so we imagine it’ll be quite easy for these two to combine their lifestyles along the coast — according to The Daily Telegraph, Jimmy has already purchased a $1.4 million Bondi apartment for the couple!
So maybe it really has been all sunshine and roses for this perfectly sculpted couple after the finale! We wish Holly and Jimmy all the best for their future.
