Think you have what it takes to outwit, outlast and outplay? Endemol Shine Australia Casting are looking for the next Golden God to turn the Australian Survivor game on its head — and it could be you!
The team behind Australian Survivor are looking for men and women of all backgrounds to take on the beloved survival series, so long as they’re an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, and are over the age of 18 years.
Aside from being both physically and mentally fit, one seemingly obvious requirement to compete is that you must be able to swim — there’s a “no floaties or pool noodles” stipulation for all contestants (this isn’t a Survivor rule, it’s a So Dramatic! rule, because while it may be hilarious to see a buff contestant repping dolphin-patterned floaties, it just slows down the whole game. Sorry!)
If you tick these boxes and are prepared to rough it for seven weeks, there’s a super long application form to fill in, which also requires you to upload two pics of yourself — one recent photograph and another that “best reflects you as a person”.
Then (yes, there’s more) you’re required to submit a video that sums up why you should be picked to tackle Australian Survivor, and why you believe you can be the next David Genat or Pia Miranda.
Although there’s no word whether Australian Survivor will be filmed in the Aussie outback again, the gruelling series will once again be hosted by Jonathan LaPaglia, and will be available to watch on Channel 10 and 10Play.
