Are you a cheater? A truck driver? Looking for your next big break? Well, your prayers have been answered because Farmer Wants a Wife is now casting suitors for its 2022 season — and if this year’s season is anything to go by, you don’t even have to have a farm!

As discussed on episode 97 of So Dramatic! With Megan Pustetto, an associate producer with the production company behind FWAW was seen posting a call-out for farmers on the Goulburn Community Notice Board.

“We are currently casting for single Aussie farms, male or female, to be part of our next series of Farmer Wants a Wife in 2022,” the post read. “If you know someone that fits the bill, we’d love to hear from you!”

Once you click the link, the initial application page reads: “We are searching for SINGLE FARMERS who want to find their happily ever after.

“10 Aussie farmers have found true love through Farmer Wants a Wife.  You could be next!”

Yes, ten farmers have found true love on the series, but they seem to have forgotten about the TENS of farmers who have NOT found true love, as well as the countless women left heartbroken and/or cheated on.

The eligibility requirements on the application then reads that you must be an Aussie citizen or permanent resident and at least 21 years of age to participate in the series.  It also states (again) that you must be single and genuinely looking for love. We repeat: you must be SINGLE and GENUINE… do with that what you will.

Then, the real zinger is that the application explicitly states that production “will conduct background police checks on applicants”. This is a bit laughable considering the application also specifically notes that “the selection criteria and rules may vary from previous seasons” — which goes to show had some of these rules been in place in the past, certain 2021 participants maybe wouldn’t have made the cut.

In case you missed out (we’re sure you didn’t), FWAW 2021 was plagued with several improprieties, including rumours that Farmer Sam Messina has an extensive criminal history with seven charges against his name, as well as a multi-farm cheating scandal which saw Farmer Will Dwyer allegedly hook up with several women from several farms behind the back of his final lady, Jaimee.

What’s worse is that one of the women, Hayley Love (who was originally from Farmer Matt Trewin’s farm), is now pregnant, and Will is denying paternity until a test confirms otherwise.

Who would have thought such a wholesome show could be so scandalous?!

If you’re game, expressions of interest are also open for “single ladies looking for a farmer” but no official application process has opened up yet.

Safe to say we’re already gearing up for Farmer Wants a Wife 2022, in what is sure to be yet another dumpster fire of a season!
