Looking for love? The latest season of the Hunger Games — sh*t, no, sorry, Married at First Sight — has begun casting for 2022.

If you’re unlucky in love and don’t mind a glass of wine being poured over your head at any given moment, just know that there are thousands out there just like you, so why not throw your hat in the ring to be on Australia’s favourite (yet most despised) social experiment?

According to the official Endemol Shine call out, they’re  “searching for men and women of all ages and backgrounds who are genuinely committed to finding love.” Hmm.  They must be pretty flexible on that requirement…

The application also stresses that MAFS Is. Not. A. Competition with no cash prize up for grabs, but – get this – you could walk about with the “most valuable prize of all… true love.”

HA! Sorry – someone in the office just told us a joke.

If that hasn’t sold you, the casting directors say that this “groundbreaking social experiment uses science and psychology to help Australian singles meet their perfect partner,” with the whole “first sight” premise being drummed home.

Filming is said to take place from late August 2021 to December 2021, with participants needing to commit up to four months of their lives — which is the contract we feel like we sign every year…

If you’re still wanting to apply even after watching the past eight train wreck seasons – maybe even after having been personally victimised by previous participants – applications for Married at First Sight Australia 2022 are still open here.
